Ira E. Bennett, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.

Dr. Bennett has been in practice in New Port Richey since 1974. He is a Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot Surgeons. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy with a B.S. in pharmacy. In 1969 he graduated from New York College of Podiatric Medicine and then completed his residency at Maimonides Medical Center, a major teaching hospital associated with Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York. He was formerly an instructor in Medicine and Diagnosis at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Bennett is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Florida Podiatric Medical Association, the Pinellas County Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Association of Hospital Podiatrists.

Dr. Bennett is on the staff of New Port Richey Surgery Center, New Port Richey Community Hospital, Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point and Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. He authors articles published in podiatry journals and lectures to area civic clubs and organizations upon request. He resides in Dunedin. Dr. Bennett is married with three adult children.
